Role Description: St. Peter’s Montessori seeks a full-time Lead Guide to lead our infant program (Nido I), including children 3 - 18 months. Montessori training and/or experience is preferred however we are open to candidates who share the goals, vision, and mission of our school. The Nido I Lead Guide will work closely with their classroom assistant guides in an environment prepared for children who are 3 to 18 months of age as well as working closely with the other members of the St. Peter’s Montessori team to support the mission and vision of the school by providing an instructional program that supports the individual needs of each child. The Nido I guide will place special emphasis on preparing children for their transition to the Nido II program (18-36 months), working alongside the Nido II Lead Guide to ensure positive, effective, and planned transitions, while demonstrating compassionate and clarity when working with parents to further our efforts to build community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
  • Min. 2-years of experience working with infants
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and individually
  • Demonstrated ability to create a positive learning environment
  • All candidates must have received the COVID vaccine and successfully pass a background check for consideration


Preferred Qualifications: AMI Certification, or experience teaching elementary students in a Montessori environment, or demonstrated knowledge of Montessori principles equivalent to hands-on experience.
